ThermaEye and Chalazion

ThermaEye and Chalazion

I have had recurrent internal styes, and a chalazion remains when the infection is cleared with antibiotics. I wonder:

Can the ThermaEye treatment be done if I have a (relatively small) chalazion?

I've read that pulsed light can help prevent more recurrent styes and chalazias. Is this true?

Thank you.

Hello and thank you for sending us your comment,

Treatment of IPL with Thermaeye Plus It can be performed in patients with active styes or with chalacion as a result of the encystment of the stye. In fact, one of the indications for Thermaeye Plus is the stye, since it is an inflammatory-infectious process of the meibomian glands. These infections are usually caused by bacteria or mites such as Demodex and high intensity pulsed light is one of the most effective treatments so the answer is yes, treatment with Thermaeye Plus can help in the treatment of an active stye or prevent its relapses.

We hope we have been helpful.

Greetings,
