History of Caser Seguros
- 1942, Creation of Caser with the objective of giving coverage to the Association of Farmers of Spain.
- 1960, Entry of Savings Banks in the shareholding of the company and ampliation of the activity to all branches of the insurance business.
- 1990, Beginning of the process of expansion and diversification of the insurance activity by taking holdings in companies related to the insurance and pension business.
- 1992, Acquisition of Caser Ahorrovida, Gesinca Pensiones and Gesinca Consultora.
- 1995, Integration of the Caser Health business and creation of Caser Asistencia.
- 1999, Fusion of the Group companies dedicated to insurance, in the parent company, Caja de Seguros Reunidos, SA
- 2001, Last step of the expansion process started in 1990, with a ampcapitalization to give entry to the Group to the French mutuals MAAF and MMA, and the acquisition of its Spanish subsidiaries, Maaf Seguros, Le Mans Seguros and Sud América Seguros.
- 2003, Purchase of the property where Caser's headquarters are currently located.
- 2004, Legal fusion of the insurance companies that make up the Group. Acquisition of Promoces / Metroces, entity that owns residences for the elderly, which is managed by Caser Residencial.
- 2006, Creation of Caser Direct, a company dedicated to selling insurance and financial products through direct marketing actions.
- Caser Pensiones is constituted with the objective of placing the Group in an optimal position to face new challenges, also allowing to increase the efficiency of the activity.
