History of Generali Seguros

1831: The Company is founded under the name of ASSICURAZIONI GENERALI AUTRO-ITALICHE.

1834: GENERALI establishes itself in Spain.

1848: The Company changes its name and becomes ASSICURAZIONI GENERALI. It adopts as a symbol, the Lion of San Marcos.

1857: Generali shares are listed for the first time on the Trieste stock exchange.

1881: Generali turns 50. That same year, Generali opens its subsidiary in Austria under the name of ERSTE ALLGEMEINE.

1893: The first issue of its corporate magazine is published: IL Bolletino.
