Dr. Jordi Fábrega Recasens studied medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine degree in the year 1995.
Later he entered the MIR for the specialty of Family and Community Medicine that he will carry out at the Hospital de Sant Pau during the years between 1996 and 1999, demonstrating a great interest in ophthalmology. During this period he will work in such important hospitals as the Kent and Sussex Hospital and the Prince Charles Hospital, both in Great Britain.
Once the specialty ends, he decides to make a second residency in the specialty of ophthalmology that he will perform from the year 2001 to the 2005 at the Barraquer Ophthalmological Center and later he finishes his studies with a Fellow at the European Board of Ophthalmology in Paris.
During the residency his interest in the anterior pole of the eye stands out, ending it with a great surgical experience, especially in cataract surgery and point-surgery.
He is currently an ophthalmologist in Área oftalmológica Avanzada in the Unit of ocular and cornea surface.
