Dr. Elena Jurado graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Seville in 2008. Later she moved to Barcelona to start her specialization in the campor Ophthalmology at the Hospital de l'Esperança in Barcelona, thus obtaining his title as a specialist in ophthalmology in 2013.
During the specialization period he shows great interest in the area of pediatric ophthalmology y squint. This is transformed into rotations in different hospitals to learn more about this subspecialization at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and Hospital de Bellvitge in 2011.
Once the specialization is finished and with the intention of continuing training in the campor pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, he moved to the Pediatric Ophthalmology Unit of the University of California, UCSF in San Francisco, USA. After this stay she will do a master's degree in Barcelona in this specialty.
During this period of academic training, he will also take the opportunity to get involved in the scientific field, presenting posters and oral communications at the main national congresses. Dr. Elena Jurado is a member of the main national ophthalmological societies such as the Catalan Society of Ophthalmology and the Spanish Society of Ophthalmology.
