He obtained a medical degree from the University of Barcelona in June 1980. Later he specialized in Ophthalmology at the Barraquer Institute, obtaining the degree of Doctor of Medicine and Surgery with a "Cum Laude" qualification unanimously in 1.993, specializing in glaucoma. .
During his formative stage he shows great interest and aptitude in the campTeaching and research, especially in the campor from glaucoma. During these years he is part of the main national ophthalmological medical societies such as the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, Spanish Society of Ophthalmology, Spanish Society of Glaucoma and an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Catalan Society of Ophthalmology.
He currently collaborates in Área Oftalmológica Avanzada as a medical and surgical specialist in the Glaucoma unit.
