Dr. Verónica Ribas González studies medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine degree in 2008.
After completing university studies, he completed the MIR in 2009, obtaining access to a specialization position in ophthalmology, resulting in obtaining the title as a specialist in ophthalmology in 2013.
During this stage, he takes numerous training courses in the subspecialty of the anterior segment, thus focusing his area of interest. Among the training courses, the course in anterior segment pathology, specialized in the treatment of cataract, glaucoma, and corneal and ocular surface pathology stands out. It ends in 2012, where he will make a series of lectures related to the diagnosis and treatment of the meibomian glands, a subject directly related to dry eye syndrome.
During the following years, he made numerous publications and assisted with participation in national conferences such as those organized by the Spanish Society of Ophthalmology and the Catalan Society of Ophthalmology as well as SECOIR.
Currently, Dr. Verónica Ribas González develops her medical activity in the Ocular and Cornea Surface Unit in Área Oftalmológica Avanzada and is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye syndrome.
